Responsibilities

The Systems Engineer will support the Sponsor's organization and will be

responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders in defining, architecting, and

validating multi-level authentication. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: .

  • Facilitating working groups in defining processes, refining workflow and requirement understanding of digital certificates

  • Validating PKI certifications across multiple platforms

  • Provide PKI assistance and guidance to stakeholders

  • Working with engineers to install and test software builds

  • Assist in defining PKI architecture on multiple domains/fabrics

  • Develop program documentation and briefing packages

  • Identify gaps in capabilities and strategic needs in relation to the strategic direction.

  • Drive completion of initiatives assigned by Sponsor

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with poly clearance required

  • Demonstrated Architecture/Engineering and PKI expertise PKI experience working across multiple domains

  • PKI experience required – DOD PKI, PIV /PIV-ICAC/HSPD-12; other PKI implementations would be helpful.

  • PKI experience that include:

  • Architecting, engineering PKI solutions

  • Reviewing PKI documentation such as Certificate Profile (CP) or CertificatePractice Statement (CPS),Registration Practice Statement (RPS), IC PKI InterfaceSpecification

  • Maintenance and enhancement of PKI services - soft certs and/or hardwaretokens

  • Demonstrated scripting abilities (UNIX, bash, Powershell)

  • Demonstrated understanding of the Sponsor's and external stakeholders authenticationand authorization models and systems

  • Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Proven understanding of gov't standards that relate to or affect PKI systems such as ICD503, NISTBOO,CNSSP-25

  • In depth experience working with PKI hardware, software,policies,and procedures

  • Able to perform complex problem solvingIdentifying complexproblemsandreviewingrelated information to develop and evaluate options

  • Able to implement solutions and criticalthinking using logic andreasoningto identifythe strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions,conclusions or approachestoproblems

  • Experience with developmentofarchitecture artifacts

  • Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.
