Senior Test Engineer

Perspecta has an immediate need for a Senior Test Engineer in Raleigh, NC.

Under general direction, carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.

  • Serve as Senior Tester reporting to the Test Manager.

  • Perform and lead tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.

  • Create test data for applications.

  • Documents and works to resolve all complex problems.

  • Reports progress on problem resolution to management.

  • Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.

  • Acts as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers and other Quality Assurance Analysts.

  • Perform complex workflow analysis and recommend quality improvements.

Qualifications

Required:

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • 7 years of Testing experience.

  • Carry out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.

  • Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Document and work to resolve all problems.

  • Report progress on problem resolution to management. Devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations.

  • Perform workflow analysis and recommend quality improvements.

  • Provide dashboard testing support.

  • Conduct testing, support independent verification and validation and system authorization.

  • Produce test plans, conduct the testing and generate reports. Test plans provided to customer for review and approval prior to performing the formal testing.

  • Perform end-to-end testing, including testing in a test facility and customer designated environments. Testing could include development and testing, staging, pre-production and production and will need to be repeatable.

  • Support Post Implementation Reviews (PIR).

  • Assist with additional operational and security related assessments conducted by the government.

  • Work on problems of diverse complexity and scope.

  • Exercise independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.

  • Ability to handle most unique situations.

  • May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

  • Design solution testing to evaluate systems, equipment and devices based on established testing principles and in accordance with provided specifications and requirements.

  • Develop and implement test plans, schedules and requirements for all portions of new and existing designs; design and provide leadership for outsourced and in-house testing resources, build and operate test tooling, fixtures, scripts, automation and apparatuses.

  • Collaborate and communicate with management, internal and outsourced testing and development partners regarding testing status, project progress, test results and issue resolution.

This position requires United States Citizenship and eligibility to be DHS Entry On Duty cleared.
